Overnight.   There are no overnight readings.  Why you ask?  Because I didn't wake up during the night.  That's right. Not once, not even to go to the loo.  For me this is a huge thing because waking up in pain has been a common every morning experience, and it usually takes me an hour or two to get back to sleep.  So I had a full night's sleep.  Funny thing is, I've been groggy feeling all day. Can't explain it, but there you go.

Fasting.  A bit high for me for fasting, but it's about what it generally is during the middle of the night. Usually I have a couple cups of green tea before going back to bed, so the change in my normal routine might account for this.  Or it could be the dawn effect (see http://www.faqs.org/faqs/diabetes/faq/part2/section-13.html).

Post Breakfast. I had half of a square crumpet for breakfast.  My reading really should be lower here.

Pre Lunch.  Well at least the level is lower, but I would have thought it'd be in the 6's since I had so little for breakfast.

Lunch.  I had a tortilla with cheese, green onions and lettuce.  Very tasty and satisfying.

Post-Lunch.  It was a good lunch.  My reading is below 7.0.

Post-Tea.  I'm not sure what I was expecting here, but I'm not too disappointed with the 8.8.  It's below 9, and considering I had a mix of Jasmine and Basmati rice, that's pretty good.  I also worked hard at portion control.

Today I created a new category in our online store, and Rod helped out one of our new customers with understanding how his store works.

Tomorrow I have to turn in my report for Centrelink, and I plan to drop off some bookcrossing books at Billy Baxters.  I also want to pick up some tortillas from Cheap asChips since they had a good supply and these don't seem to instantly dry out like some of the other ones I've tried do.   Tomorrow night Rod and I are attending a Diabetes SA class on monitoring glucose levels.

Wednesday.  I have to be at an appointment for Workskil at 11am.  In the evening, we plan to have tea at Double Dragon restaurant in Aberfoyle Hub, and then go see our friend Terry in Happy Valley (that's the name of a suburb, not a frame of mind).

And I'm dozing off at the keyboard as I type this.  {{ Yawn }}

Sleeping better than a baby... because everyone knows babies sleep well but not all the way through the night. I can understand the grogginess... your body actually RESTED and you needed to get it fired back up again. And you probably have been edgy and hyper-alert or hyper-vigilant for a long, long time. Stress can do that! And being that you are getting back to normal, you don't feel very normal!

I saw the ENT doctor today, really a great exam by a very personable and good doctor. He saw my problems and he gave me some things to do, he pointed out that while surgery could help,for the deviated septum, but my largest problem is dryness.... and that was a surprise to me. He recommended a cool mist vaprorizer, saline spray 6X a day and a Rx for Floanaze. And ceasing the smoking. He said that I have bone spurs in my mouth, calcium deposits! He did a hearing test, and I do have a hearing loss, at the upper range but not too bad. And my ear-drums are being pressed by fluid but that should get a lot better after not smoking! So we shall see, and I will see him again in 4 weeks.

And now, it is my bedtime, maybe I will catch you in the morning!
