5 Feb: Lunch

Pre-Lunch Reading: 5.7 mmol/l or 102.6 mg/dl

Post-Lunch Reading: 8.2 mmol/l or 147.6 mg/dl

Had a medium sized bowl with salad - lettuce, half tomato, 3 black olives, chopped green onion, garlic and ranch dressing (normal, not low fat). I broke up 1 cooked chicken wing into the salad and it was very tasty.

Instead of having 2 cups of green tea after lunch, today I'm having concentrated homemade ice tea made with 3x Tetley green tea bags and 1 Clipper Green tea with Ginseng, half a glass with diet fizzy lemonade to fill.

It's a hot day again so at least its something cool to drink.

Goal: Learn if drinking ice tea made with good quality green tea (that's the Tetley) will have the same glucose lowering affect as drinking 2 cups of hot green tea.

Post-Lunch results aren't as good as they would be if I had had hot tea. Next time I brew the iced tea, I'm going to use twice as much Tetley tea bags (6x in total) so that it's a stronger brew.
